Read the following information and answer the questions that follow. JOKE LA MDIMU This is an essay in the novel Joka la Mdimu by A.J. Safari (H.P.). The novel was published in 1976. The novel was submitted to the Ministry of Education and Culture in 1985 and was approved as a textbook for secondary schools in 1990. The novel discusses the life of a boy called Nyamakondo who was from a poor family and lived with his grandfather. The grandfather was a medicine man. Nyamakondo faced many problems in life but managed to overcome them through his perseverance and help from his friends. The novel also discusses the importance of education and hard work in life. It also highlights the negative effects of bad peer influence and the importance of respecting elders.
