Read the following information then answer questions (i) – (v). Many types of food we consume in our daily lives are usually cooked. Food is cooked using heat energy. The appliances used to facilitate the cooking of our food are called stoves. In Tanzania, the most commonly used types of stoves are wood and charcoal stoves. In recent years, there has been an increase in the users of gas stoves in urban and rural areas. The choice of stove type varies according to availability, cost, and safety of the fuel type used. These are some of the factors to consider when choosing the type of stove to use.
