Many prefer foreign languages as a way to elevate their social status, a situation that prevents Swahili from getting enough space in formal settings such as courts and universities. To ensure Swahili continues to strengthen, it is important for everyone to take responsibility for using it correctly and spreading it through writing, speeches, and literature. Schools should place more emphasis on teaching Swahili so that the new generation can appreciate and use it fluently.
